Alejandro Moreno is a film and commercial director and screenwriter born in 2002 in Barcelona. He began making independent short films at the age of fifteen, which led him to receive a scholarship for the ESCAC (University of Barcelona) Foundation Course, where he graduated with a Full Talent Scholarship (MH) and an Extraordinary Award for Academic Excellence in the Bachelor’s Degree in Cinematography and the Master’s Degree in Film Directing.

In recent years, he has developed short films such as Insomnia (2022), a science fiction story produced by Amr Waked (Great Year Productions); H. (2023), a journalistic thriller starring Isaac Alcayde; and Long Night (2024), an intimate psychological drama that premiered at the BCN Filmfest, starring Montse Ribadellas and Joan Negrié and produced by Escac Films.

He is currently preparing to release Do Not Fear (2026), a post-apocalyptic horror short film that premiered at the Sitges Film Festival, focusing on a father-daughter relationship and starring Lulu Rodríguez and Daniel Grao. At the same time, his latest short film, When The Sun Rises (2026)—produced by Escac Films and Escac Studio—is currently in postproduction and is also being developed as a feature film through ESCAC’s Debut Film Laboratory.

Through these projects, he has been finding his niche in fiction, moving between genre cinema and auteur cinema. He is particularly interested in developing stories aimed at reaching a wide audience without sacrificing a personal perspective, balancing the epic with the intimate and always focusing on what he wants to convey through his characters.

In all the projects he develops or collaborates on, he seeks to leave a mark, provoke reflection, and foster dialogue with the audience, addressing themes that are relevant from both a social and contemporary perspective as well as a personal one. He does all this without losing sight of the target audience for each story.
